Announcement of the Winners of the 2021-2022 Intercollegiate Photo Contest

On May 30, the results of the 11th edition of the World of Images Intercollegiate Photo Contest were unveiled during a virtual event.

This edition ended on March 9, 2022, and included 986 photos submitted by 14 college network staff members as well as 224 students from 44 colleges. The organizing committee first pre-selected photos in the two categories: College Network Staff and Student. The jury, made up of seven judges, then selected the finalist photos: 6 photos from college network staff and 27 photos from students. Further to the deliberations, which took place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, the winners were chosen from among these finalists.

Thank you to the members of the jury:

  • Honorary Chair: Michel Campeau;
  • Mathieu Lévesque, professional photographer at Consulat;
  • Denis Chabot, pedagogical advisor at the CCDMD;
  • Pierre Robert, visual arts teacher at Collège Lionel-Groulx;
  • Marjolaine Poirier, art historian;
  • Réal Filion, photographer and faithful contributor to the World of Images website;
  • Laurence Grandbois-Bernard, 1st prize winner of the 2020-2021 edition of the Contest.

There is only one prize in the College Network Staff category: a book by one of the photographers who has served as the contest’s honorary chair in recent years. There is also a People’s Choice award and five honourable mentions to highlight the quality of certain photos among the 33 finalists.
