General conditions

The materials offered by the Centre collégial de développement de matériel didactique (CCDMD) are primarily designed for teachers and students in the Quebec college network. As other groups have expressed interest in these products, however, we have established the following conditions for their use.

We allow websites to post hyperlinks to our resources, but we do not allow our resources to be reproduced elsewhere or modified, and we do not allow hyperlinks to be posted in fee-paying sections of other websites.

Some resources may require reproduction licenses or be subject to specific restrictions. It is up to the user to check which conditions apply.

The CCDMD website offers a number of free and low-cost products for download—for example, software or digital textbooks. Our print textbooks can be procured through our distributor.

Purchase of software or digital textbooks

Certain software programs or digital textbooks can be purchased directly online through the CCDMD virtual store.

Purchase of print books

Our print books are sold by Chenelière Éducation, our external distributor. The conditions of sale are essentially the same as for our digital books, except for delivery, which are free in Canada for books that cost $35 or more. There are additional fees for orders from other countries. For further information about these fees, please contact our distributor’s customer service department at clientele@cheneliere.ca.

Product description

The CCDMD tries to ensure the accuracy of the data on our site, but we cannot guarantee that our product descriptions are completely free of errors. If a product you purchase from the CCDMD is not as described on the website, you may request a refund.

Prices

The prices of our products are shown in Canadian dollars, and the applicable taxes are added based on the shipping address for the order. The CCDMD reserves the right to change its prices at any time. The products are always invoiced based on the rates in effect at the time the order is placed.

Payment

Your purchases may be made using a bank MasterCard or Visa card. The fees must be paid as set out in the virtual store’s payment procedure. The buyer agrees to assume the total cost and all charges related to the purchased product, including taxes. The buyer alone is responsible for the credit card payment. The CCDMD cannot be held responsible for payment problems related to the operation of the electronic commerce service.

Terms of delivery

When you have paid for your purchase, you will receive an email confirming the purchase and providing a URL address where your product(s) can be downloaded. Please keep the email as your receipt.

Print textbooks, CD-ROMs, and DVDs are shipped by regular mail. The delivery time is a few days for local deliveries but may be a little longer for destinations outside Canada. There are usually no customs charges or export issues, but it is up to the buyer to ensure that local laws allow our products to be imported.

Refund policy

There is no refund after the download of any electronic products purchased through our store. If for any reason the product is not as described in the catalogue, however, the CCDMD will issue a refund. The buyer must send an email explaining that the product received is not as described.

For print books, the policy is similar. There is no refund except in the case of a shipping error. The products will be replaced if the wrong product was shipped or if the shipped product is damaged. In either of these situations, we will send you the right product in good condition free of charge.
