Since 2011, the CCDMD has hosted this contest that aims to encourage the next generation of photographers and foster the production and sharing of high-quality photographs in the education sector.
The contest is open to all students and employees of Quebec college network institutions. The winning students will be awarded $3,000 in grants. The contest is judged by a jury made up of professionals and chaired by a renowned photographer. This year, the honorary chair is Serge Clément, photographer.
The 13th edition of the contest will start on October 23, 2023. Participants can submit up to 5 photographs. Files must be uploaded directly to the World of Images website by March 18, 2024.

The contest by the numbers
Since the first edition (2011-2012):
- More than 18,000 photographs have been submitted by 4,400 students and 35 employees from 65 institutions in the Quebec college network;
- 72 winners have received $36,000 in grants;
- 55 participants have received honourable mentions;
- 9 exhibitions have been held in colleges and CEGEPs.
