For this 12th edition, 1,396 original photos were received from 310 students and 14 staff members from 51 college institutions. Thank you to all the participants of this edition for the quality of the images submitted! From these magnificent images, a preselection was made: 355 photos from students and 35 photos from staff members were presented to the jury.
The members of the jury then made their individual selection. The finalists are the 28 authors of the 33 photos chosen in the Student category and the 6 authors of the 7 photos selected in the Network Staff category. Congratulations to all 2022-2023 finalists!
It’s time to vote!
Until April 10, voting for the People’s Choice award is open. Jury deliberations will then take place to determine the winners among the finalists in the two categories.
The People’s Choice award is given to the photo that received the greatest number of votes in the album of finalists in the Student category. A grant valued at $250 is also awarded to an eligible student.
To vote, internet users must have an account and log in to the World of Images site.
The contest by the numbers
Since the first edition (2011-2012):
- More than 18,500 photographs have been submitted by 3,410 students and 40 employees from 65 institutions in the Quebec college network;
- 66 winners have received $33,000 in grants;
- 45 participants have received honourable mentions;
- 8 exhibitions have been held in colleges and CEGEPs.
